Sugar overload!
Ok so I thought, maybe I could have a cheat...a small little something so I could maybe still enjoy what the rest of the world ate! LOL Boy was I wrong!!! I decided while I was out running errands today that I would get myself my very favorite drink, a chai, and those who know how much I love my Coke, yes a well made chai beats out a Coke every time!!!! :) I feel terrible!!!!! After about a month of no sugar or "bad" carbs I feel absolutely miserable!!! I have a headache and my chest hurts and my stomach hurts....so looks like I won't be having anymore cheats! Oh well!

There are just somethings we can never do again! It sucks, but we can do it. Now I'm scared to try to cheat! Maybe a single sip or bite of something won't have that effect on us. I'll let you know if I get brave enough to try it!
ReplyDeleteAre you trying any of the south beach diet recipes? I found a recipe on Kalyn's Kitchen for a soup with garbanzo beans, tomatoes and baby spinach. It was very good.
I have a great friend that is a nurse and an avid South Beacher. She told me that after the first few weeks of big weight loss, that it tapers to 1/2 to 1 pound a week. That is the safe way. Takes a while for our metabolism to stablize and start working for us. I'm trying to come to grips with this. I want fast results! LOL I started this at 185 lbs and have lost 16 pounds...now it's going to be slow. The Dr. wants me at 125-130. I was happy at 135-137, like I was when we were at Polk together. We need to keep reminding one another that.....slow and steady wins the race!! LOL
Let me know what recipes you have tried and liked.
Remember.....WE CAN DO THIS!!!
Shauna, I am doing some of the South Beach diet, Mom started it when we were at Fort Polk and it's not really bad! I wish I could be what I was at Fort Polk too, I was at 160 after Claudia was born!!!! Oh well, in time I know I will be, the most important thing is to realize that I am getting healthier! :) Try the Cauliflour mashed potatoes, not bad at all!!!! :) We can keep track of each other and yes I think we can do this!! :) Thanks Shauna!!!
